Heubach History
1350 - Beginning of Heubach entrepreneurs with the art of glass making

- Johann Simon Heubach
Fragmented documentation suggests that the glassmaker tradition of the Heubachs had continued for twelve generations before Johann Simon Heubach turns to porcelain manufacturing. During the 250 years to follow, 7 more generations of Heubachs carry on their family's entrepreneurial tradition.
1806 - The beginning in Pigments
1973 - Rainer Heubach took over responsibility

- Hans Heubach
Hans Heubach passes away in January 1973 and leaves his companies to his two children, Barbara and Rainer. Rainer Heubach becomes President of the pigment and the metal oxide company. Barbara Heubach’s husband, Wigo Haacke, becomes President of the zinc oxide company and the zinc smelter operation. In 1995 the cross-ownership between the two groups is replaced by a direct holding of each of the two Heubach branches as a preparatory step for the take-over by the next generation.
1984 - Heubach acquires DuPont pigment operations in Newark
1988 – Start-up of Heucotech Ltd.
1994 – Foundation of Heubach Colour Ltd.

- Heubach Colour Ltd.
Heubach expands to Asia by founding Heubach Colour Ltd. In the Gujarat province of India, a 25 acre site is acquired to build one of the largest organic pigment color complexes worldwide over a 7 year period. It is the largest single project in Heubach’s history and is realized under Kiron Shah and Ravi Kapoor in close cooperation with Heubach Europe.
